Ambition is important for a recruiter

Ambition is an important aspect for a success. If you have the ambition, you are bound to work for it and eventually succeed.

Recruiters, who are ambitious, are successful. It could be for anything - lavish life, more money, better recognition, satisfaction. Ultimately, this ambition drives you towards connecting with people. This ambition flares the aggression that you need to be making more connections, talking more and placing those candidates who ultimately get you the money!

How-much-ever we might whine that money is not the sole motto of working (as lot of people do), it is one of the most important factor that ultimately drags you out of bed and to work. For recruiters, probably there is more to it than dragging themselves out of bed. They need to get out into the market. They need to tap the talent. They need to match the skills. And all this without an ambition for something materialistic, falls short of the aggression needed to cover the entire distance.

If you are recruiter and falling short of those placement numbers, try putting a materialistic goal for yourself. Let's say a phone that you were longing to buy for sometime, a house, a gadget, anything. Anything materialistic that would give you happiness. Put that materialistic goal to your life and you will see a rejuvenated passion towards work.
